Welcome to My Adventures

I base my adventures from my home in Piney Bay (Lamar), Arkansas. Sometimes my adventures are just a Jeep ride away, but other times, they involve thousand mile Jeep rides or exhausting flights to far away international locations. This blog covers not only my adventures, but the conditioning and training that keeps me healthy and the life with a Service Dog. Thank you for being a part of the journey!

My Passion for Wellness

I wasn't always a healthy person. After some setbacks in my health since early 20s, I tried a variety of fitness, mindfulness, and wellness approaches to get and stay healthy. In 2012, a Gluten Detection Service Dog was added to my treatment regimen and has checked every meal since. This expanded my work life to include being a part of the journey of persons with medical and mental health conditions that can be helped with a Service Dog. Once I saw what I could do with a combination of the benefits of healthier mind & body and my Service Dog, I was hooked. Since starting this journey, I have hiked and paddle boarded lakes & rivers. I have gone in caves and up canyons. My passion for wellness is based on living life to its fullest and my belief that we are spiritual beings in a physical body for a purpose requiring a holistic approach to health.

WELCOME TO THE PINK PADDLER!
This page is still under construction (aren’t we all). As a trauma therapist and Doctor of Psychotherapy I have come to appreciate stillness and movement alike and found stand up paddling to be my Elysium. I will be sharing wellness and mindfulness tips including paddle boarding as well as nutrition, healing, hiking, traveling, Jeeping, and even how service dogs can play a role in a physical, mental/emotional, and spiritually healthy life.Thank you for stopping by.
